I slept in then had a great day. The girls and I went kayaking on Lake Union. It was a brilliant sunny day and it seemed like everyone was out enjoying the weather. We kayaked across Lake Union (that was an adventure) and I got very wet. It seems I haven't mastered the paddling of a kayak and instead, every time my paddle comes out of the water, the water runs down the handle into my kayak. I was too busy trying to remember how to steer and stay away from the big boats to keep the water out of my kayak. But...I had fun.
After kayaking, we went to the waterfront for a meal of fish and chips. I had been dying to eat some Halibut for over a week now so I was very happy (and very full). Then, we went to Starbucks and walked around what was left of the Market as people were picking up. Meghan and I bought flowers (something I've ALWAYS wanted to do at the Market) and we made our way back home. Kayaking, fish-n-chips, Starbucks, and Pikes Market Flowers all in one day...it was definitely a Seattle-ish day.
We went and visited Camille, Sam and baby Thom next and I was excited to see that little guy, and Sam and Camille. Sam introduced us to a new game, which I actually got very into and am determined to buy (yes, I know...me, interested in a card game!!!). I would write more but I have to work tomorrow and since I spent all day today having fun, I have a lot to do tomorrow morning.
Reflection: I'm looking forward to when I can do this every day. I am excited about finding a new condo and living with Jess and I'm so glad that God made lovely days with beautiful lakes and delicate flowers.

- I am a thinker and a learner. I love God deeply though I am still learning to get my strength from Him. I am a teacher and as I learn to love my students more they show me both respect and ways that I am weak. This year is a year where I am learning the meaning of "where I am weak, He is strong."
